When Emerson reached out to schedule her senior photos, I knew Dorris Ranch in Springfield, Oregon, would be the perfect spot. Known for its stunning variety of backdrops—from open fields to an orchard and tall trees—it’s one of my favorite locations for senior photography. And let me tell you, Emerson’s session was a dream.

We met on a sunny fall day during golden hour, and the light was pure magic. Even though it was cold, Emerson’s bubbly and fun personality brought so much warmth to the shoot. She came prepared with four outfit changes, each one showing off her unique style. She included her jersey representing her high school which added such a fun and personal touch.

To make the most of the location, we explored the wide-open fields, wandered through the orchard, and captured some truly gorgeous shots among the tall trees. Dorris Ranch really gives that quintessential Oregon outdoor vibe, and it’s always exciting to create variety for seniors who want their photos to stand out.

One of my favorite parts of the session was when Emerson brought her sister along.
